About Stacia
As a little girl, I would spend hours in my basement singing my favorite songs. Music was one of my first loves. I co-wrote my first song at age twelve with a girlfriend. But interests quickly vanished as life brought pain. My parents divorced when I was three. For most of my childhood I lived with an abusive stepfather. As a teen I turned to drugs, alcohol, and destructive relationships to hide the pain.
When I was 25 years old, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. I fully surrendered. He lifted me out of my pit of destruction and into His loving arms. My old life was traded for a new one in and with God.
Gradually I became awakened to the poverty and abuse in America. There are over half a million orphaned and abused children in the US and many more unreported.
In July 2007, I founded I Matter Too. I Matter Too is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity that provides educational support and shares the love of Jesus Christ with orphaned and abused children.
In 2008, I began learning guitar and writing songs. In November 2009, my first album "True Conversations" was released. The album shares intimate conversations between me, God and the children at I Matter Too.
Because our God is Magnificent, life is now a journey of impossible coincidences and miracles. I'm glad you are traveling it with me. I pray the music and stories will encourage you along your path to the everlasting…
